Every writer deals with it at one time or another. Writer’s block. That dark, non-creative cloud hanging over your head. That laundry list of things to do that keep you from sitting down to write.
What is it that keeps getting in the way? What roadblocks do you continue to come upon?
There are way too many excuses for not writing, but I can think of a million reasons why you should stop letting “those things” get in the way. In fact, I’d argue that it’s YOU that’s really needing to get out of your way.
Writing Prompt: Write about the things that are getting in the way of your writing. Write a long list if need be or a “my dog ate my homework” type of exaggerated excuse to explain why you’re not writing.
Post it on your blog and link it up below. If you don’t have a blog, simply leave your response and/or link in the comments below.
How it works: If you submit a link, please click on the other links of those who join in and leave a comment on a few posts that really speak to you. Our goal is to support each other. If you’re feeling generous, go ahead and share their links on your social sites and let them know how you discovered their writing.
