Ocean, lake or swimming pool?
Hey, you can’t just throw a question out there like there’s some clear cut winner between the three! I have love for all three of these glorious things!
Ocean- Specifically, the Pacific Ocean holds my heart. It is probably the main reason I can’t bring myself to move to the East Coast. The crashing waves, the brilliant sunsets and the whole beach vibe soothes me to my core.
Lake- Oh, the memories I make when I visit a lake. Apparently lakes increase my creativity because I suddenly became a poet with that last sentence. Traveling to a lake and spending time on a boat with family and friends are some of my best memories. The calm of the water really makes for the best drinking conditions, too! *wink, wink*
Swimming Pool- I have some of the best moments as a mom sitting poolside, watching my kids splash and giggle and play in the pool. Which, of course, makes me fondly remember my own summers as a kid swimming in a pool with friends until my toes were so wrinkly that I swore they would never look normal again. Good times. Always good times in the pool.
So, there you have it, another Writing Prompt where I skirt around the question and can’t give one definitive answer. But maybe you will, and I can’t wait to read it!

May I add one more to the list? If so, it would be river. I live one half block from the Hudson River. My apartment has huge windows, like movie screens, where I can see the changing moods of the river and the New York skyline. I thrive on it and consider my location a privilege. A tiny inkling of claustrophobia overtakes me if I stay anywhere for any length of time without viewing water especially the Hudson River. No matter how busy the day, one glance and I’m home.
