Many people think I am crazy with my astrological reports. But some are super on board. They know that Mercury Retrograde is a serious deal (duh). It happens three times a year for about three weeks each time. It’s basically the cosmos working against you in every possible way to make you go crazy. Bad communication. Misunderstandings. Deals gone wrong. Electronics breaking down. And more. It started yesterday and it will continue until October 9th.
The benefit to this backwards motion is to resurface the crap in your life and bring on the chaos. Look at all of those icky things and then get rid of it. It’s like the KonMari Method of Organizing. Bring it all out: The good, the bad, the ugly. Consider what’s worth keeping and then discard what doesn’t bring you joy.
I do believe in this stuff and the reason is simple. Things happen when this planet enters this moon or that planet does flips and turns behind that other planet. Whatever. I know that full moons have always brought about monumental events in my life. I was born on a full moon. Eclipses, like this last Saturday, really bring something huge… Um, I got engaged!
Every Mercury Retrograde has brought up some sort of chaos and what came out of the chaos… well, of course… Greatness! Every single time.
More pudding proof? Mercury is indeed going backwards and I blame it for my falling off of a step and allowing my phone to fly out of my hands and directly on it’s face last night. Cracked screen, yes. But, wait. Even before the fall, my phone (beginning at the same time as the retrograde) was not performing like a smart phone should. It was downright obstinate! No restart could get it back on track. Coupled with that… my computer is on the same team as my phone bringing me closer to the purchase I’ve been meaning to make. A new Mac.
So a broken phone and unhappy computer. Great! I’m ready for the new iPhone 6 and I can deal with a cracked screen for another week till it comes out. And I’m ready to purchase my super speedy Macbook. Let’s go!
Oh wait… based on the advice to follow during Mercury Retrograde i.e. Don’t buy a new car OR purchase computers OR anything electronic… I feel trapped!
What’s this technically challenged girl to do for the next three weeks? My business partner would say, “Summer, here is a straw. Suck it up. I told you to buy that computer months ago.” Yeah yeah yeah.
Perhaps this is an opportunity, to stop the frustration by uncooperative devices and just… go silent.
(yeah right)
