You’re headed into the grocery store and suddenly you hear your name called.
“Hey! How’s it going? Haven’t seen you in awhile!”
Your shoulders drop just the slightest bit. An instant stomachache follows with the feeling that you need to lay down. You can’t pinpoint the reason why (or maybe you can), but you know that you do NOT want to engage with this person.
Looking back I’ve noticed this scenario many times. There are those people that feed you goodness and get you all pumped up. They are energizing and bright!
There are those that just bring calm to you. They don’t bring you down. They don’t jazz you up. They just bring feelings of peace. You feel centered in their presence.
Then there are those that seem to pull from you all of that good energy you woke up with. It’s like an instant downer when you are around them or even just speaking to them.
How does this happen?
My mind and my gut tell me it’s all energy. I do believe in instinct and I do believe that my gut is very closely in tune with the energy around me. I think we all have these experiences, and it’s really just a matter of being keyed into it or not.
This gut has given great advice. In fact, I’ve been looking to it a lot lately and it has been delivering the goods without fail.
So, the next time you might be pondering a choice to make… just ask… then feel.
Should I take the job?
Should I hire this person?
Should I really date this guy?
“Yo gut! What say you?”
