It’s when my addiction to being organized becomes the hero. It’s sooo much easier to pack and move when things are already in their place. I did another purge of clothes, closets, stuff etc. before and again after Christmas in my attempt to prepare for our looming move.
But, it’s when you really have to physically move it all that you realize there is much more that you just don’t need or don’t want. For me, this time, it’s not paralyzing. For us it’s actually been energizing because it’s a new chapter.
I follow the Marie Kondo (who I’m also addicted to) process of keeping what brings you joy and discarding or giving away what does not. It makes it so simple and so satisfying.
The house hunt continues, but knowing the move is on the horizon is exciting as all get out!
What have your moving experiences been?
